Exploring ways language roots in the body
Join Root yoga instructor Kirsten Akens and poet Ann Davenport for “Pogatry \pō-gə-trē\” – a seasonal series exploring the ways that language is rooted in the body.
Each three-hour session, designed to honor and reflect the season of the day, consists of breath awareness/meditation, restorative poses and balances, writing exercises and discussion.
Bring your favorite writing instrument, paper, and an eye pillow or mask. And be ready to dig deep.
As one of our (repeat) participants has said about this series: “Pogatry is a unique, very meaningful, and potent blend of mind/heart/soul (poetry) and body (yoga) in alignment with the rhythm of nature and seasons. For me, it’s been a sure recipe for self discovery and expression of new territory in my inner landscape.”
