Amy Siebert

Amy is a recovering perfectionist and gold-star addict. After first attending an Ashtanga class in 2000, she experimented and played off and on (mostly off!) with an asana practice until the opening of Root Center in 2014. And then a deeper and more meaningful connection to Yoga began, under the tutelage of Jessica Patterson. Amy completed the RootEd 230-hour YTT program in 2016, and is serving as one of the mentors for the 2017 RootEd group. Amy’s teaching centers around showing up to what *is* with reverence and great love, and an abundance of breath.

When not helping behind the scenes and teaching at Root, Amy can be found creating jewelry pieces for Alpine Pixie Arts, and doing Gal Friday work for the online yoga anatomy courses of Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews (www.yogaanatomy.net and www.embodiedanatomy.net). This Sagittarius gal’s favorite color is teal, favorite food is mashed potatoes, and favorite hobbies include knitting, calligraphy, hand-sewing, rock climbing, and hiking. She also enjoys long walks through the wooded park near home with a husband and a dog, and snuggling up with a good book in a home shared with said husband and dog, 2 wonderful boys, a kitten and a flock of backyard hens.
