Kara Durland
Kara Durland is a Level 1 Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. She was first introduced to yoga in a small Colorado Springs studio in the early 2000’s and was quickly drawn to the Iyengar method, its approach to anatomical detail, alignment, and use of props, to develop a sensitivity to and integration of body, mind, and soul. Having spent over 30 years climbing, racing mountain bikes, road cycling, hiking, and running, she understands the attention and gratitude that we must pay to being in our own body. Kara was called back to her practice in earnest in 2019 and has been committed to Svadhyaya (self-study) both on and off the yoga mat. Supported and mentored by the Iyengar community, both locally and abroad, Kara is grateful for being able to share Iyengar Yoga with others. She looks forward to seeing you in class!
